Frequently Asked Questions

What is the WHS, and why do I need it for international play?

The World Handicap System (WHS) is the global gold standard for golf. While local systems vary, an official WHS index acts as your “golfing passport.” It allows you to compete fairly and is a strict requirement for playing at prestigious championship courses and private clubs worldwide.

Is this membership recognized at major golf courses?

Yes! Our membership provides an official WHS Handicap Index issued by an authorized association. Since the WHS is a unified system developed by the USGA and R&A, your physical membership card is a legitimate credential recognized by golf clubs globally.

I don’t have a handicap yet. How do I get my first one?

We make the process seamless. New members can start with an official entry-level handicap (28.0 for men / 36.0 for women). To refine this into your personal index, you simply need to submit scores from 54 holes (such as three 18-hole rounds) played at any rated course.

How do I submit my scores while playing abroad?

There is no tedious paperwork. After your round, simply email us a photo of your scorecard. Our handicap managers will verify the data and update your index, typically within 24 hours.

Can I maintain this handicap if I travel or move between countries?

Absolutely. This is the core benefit of our International Membership. Whether you are playing a round at a historic links course, a luxury desert resort, or a local club, all scores flow into your single, global WHS Index.

What if I already have a handicap from a local club?

We can easily migrate your existing scoring history. Just provide your current handicap details during registration, and we will ensure your new WHS Index accurately reflects your current playing ability from day one.
